Im in 10th grade and preparing for cosmetology school?

I am a sophomore in High School.
I am sooooo interested in going to cosmetology school, working with hair all that 
I was just wondering what things I can do to prepare for school and to do things so I have some experience.
Are there any things like Cosmetology Camps, or extra curricular activity’s?

There really isn’t anything to prepare for cosmetology school. You should attend school with a fresh mind and not any ideas already of how to do hair. They will train you and help you with different techniques for doing hair. If you are interested in owning a salon, you can look into taking some business classes.

I think the first thing you can do is start learning about the requirements to get a cosmetology license – what program you’d like to pursue or specialize in, how many hours it takes to complete those programs, what are the costs, are there scholarships you can be thinking about, etc. Also, you should consider searching for cosmetology schools in your area. You are probably to young to apply as of yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start looking!
I think the biggest thing I would recommend, though, is to start networking with other cosmetology professionals, students and teachers and ask any questions that pop into your head.
