Is it safe to be in a tent during a thunderstorm?

So my friend is camping in Wisconsin and the storms are really bad in his area (there’s lots of lightning really close to where he is). I’m wondering if it is safe for him to be in a tent during a storm? Does he have a high risk of being struck by lightning? I read that you’re supposed to keep your feet close together and crouch on the floor of the tent, but what if the floor is wet?

i am gunna say no
Not if the tent has metal poles and not if it’s the highest thing around.
NO! most tents hav metal rods tht act as lightening rods! if u hear close thunder and lightening, and hav no shelter, get into a low open space, and get as low as possible
