Probably not for under $300 a week. Y camps are cheap, and they run about $350 – 600 a week for sleep-away (resident) camps in CA, depending on camp and program. Sometimes financial aid is available, but it’s likely for local kids. Lots of resident adventure camps run $1500+ a week.
If you’re old enough, and you’ve been to camp before, why not look into being a CIT? Counselor in Training, you don’t get paid but it’s a good experience and it’s fun. (For some CIT programs you pay for training, but for many you volunteer.) When you are old enough, you can become a paid assistant camp counselor at some camps, usually the summer before senior year.
