Marine Corps Historians, What is the best Book on the Banana Wars, Early 19th Century?
I am not looking for any standard Wikipedia type answers and I am hoping you historians might help. I am looking for books or detailed websites on Camp Elliott in Panama, circa 1908. Also looking for detailed books on the life of John Henry Russell, Jr and Ben Hebard Fuller, especially their service in Panama. Thanks!

Here is a couple:
“2nd Lieutenant Smedley Darlington BUtler, USMC” by Robert Pendleton

and
Sergeant Major Dan Daly by Stephen Scott

The Marine Shop at Quantico VA (located within the base perimeter of Marine Corps Base Quantico) has a large selection of historical books that cover people such as Daly, Butler, Russel, Fuller, Krulak, Puller, etc. Many of their printed exploits as Marines have ended up on the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ recommended reading list.
Best wishes.
