Neighbors with ugly camper in backyard?

I live in a nice, homey neighborhood with a committee that oversees issues. According to their guidelines, any trailer like a camper is prohibited on the lot, if it can be seen from the street. Not only can it be seen, but it’s a HUGE eye sore for my family. It has been several months, and we have attempted to appeal to him in any civil way possible. We have even had the committee contact this neighbor and ask him to remove the trailor.. that was a month ago, and it’s still there. I know this may seem silly, but my family and I love spending time in our backyard, and having to stare at an ugly, oversized camper all day is just ridiculous. We have a camper as well, and we pay 100 dollars a month for storage.. I am running out of options, and I’m not sure where to turn at this point. Is small claims court my only last hope? Suggestions are highly appreciated.
At the beginning of my passage, I forgot to mention my neighbor at first. This is a neighbor we have lived by for 20 years.. and he still refuses to understand where we are coming from.
For all those saying I’m a rude neighbor. His RV is 36-39 feet long and YES IT CAN BE SEEN CLEARLY FROM THE STREET ANY WHICH WAY YOU LOOK. IT IS AGAINST THE HOA RULES AND REGULATIONS AND I’VE DONE NOTHING WRONG. Our whole backyard is centered around their side of the yard, and now we have a 39 foot trailor to stare at. Thanks for those who actually gave good advice and F off to those who didn’t.,

    Huh?

I would contact the city, and see what they can do about it. You can’t take them to small claims court over what they have parked in their yard.

committee should send certified letter. then lawyer for committee should send another letter. then report to police, town hall, and sheriff’s dept. in the mean time, close shades, blinds and drapes.

If you look the other way you won’t see it. Get over it or put up a screen and leave the poor guy alone for goodness sake.

It amazes me that here in America the “land of the free” people are still not free to do what they want with their own property. It’s not your land, it’s your neighbors land. Why do you think you have the right to say what he has on his property? If you don’t like to see it then put up a fence so you don’t have to see it. Otherwise keep your nose to yourself.

First off, you said that the committee guidlines prohibit them if they can be seen from the street. it doesn’t say it can’t be seen from your back yard. so I think legally you don’t have a leg to stand on. Next, what makes it ugly? is it old and falling apart junk? or is it just that you don’t find it scenic? It sounds to me like you are just a bit of a snob. Leave your neighbor along to use his yard the way he wants.

I hate neighbours like you. Put up a privacy fence and keep your nose out of people’s business. None of your concern what is in your neighbour’s yard. Get a hobby.
Oh by the way…you have no legal rights to any small claims court case.
