New York Film Academy Camp for acting?? Should I?? a scam?? Answer plz!!!!?
Byok so i’ve been trying to get into acting for the longest time ever. But everytime i go somewhere, its always a scam 
Is the New York Film Academy worth it?? I want to go to their 3 week summer camp for acting for film in either Disney Hollywood studios in FL, or the one in Universal California. Is it worth it?? P.S. im 14

Film academy is legit and advertised ever where in NYC. I hae worked with several people who when Thur their program

…I used to get brochures in the mail for them all the time. Honestly, I don’t know if it is a scam or not but chances are it’s not going to reach your expectations for the amount of money you fork up.
What I would recommend is if you want to be a serious actor is to look for acting houses (most of the time they will be in NYC) that teach Method acting and Meisner technique.
If you become interested in Method acting, I would suggest looking up classes for Libby Appel’s mask technique as well.
Right now you are young and need to practice your craft.

New York Film Academy is the real deal though I can not speak for which location would be better if at all.

hey im 14 too and i wanted to be in acting for the longest time too i think you should try the camp out you never know you could be the next biggest actor!!!

New York FilM Academy is a reputable and legit School. However, I’m not familiar with their Summer Camp program for children. (I’m based in New York, and only worked with Adult Actors from NYFA-New York acting program)
If you are based in LA/California, you can also check out Acting Corps (http://www.theactingcorps.com) to compare the classes offered, as well as the fee for the program.
TVI Studios in LA (and in CH, NY too) also offers Young Actors program. You can visit their website to find out more at: http://www.tvistudios.com/youngactors/classes.asp
If you are in New York, then I’d recommend ACTeen (http://www.acteen.com) – their program covers all areas of acting. Taught by both working actors, acting instructors, and casting directors.
