~Please help~ What should I get my friend for her 18th birthday? Clothes, rubber duckies, or something else?

My friend’s 18th birthday party is Sept. 6th. I don’t want to ask her what she wants (so she isn’t expecting something in-case I can’t get her it). I’ll tell a little about her:
Shes really tall
Shes on the swim team
Shes senior editor of the yearbook
Shes in our Physics class
She loves to talk
She likes to camp
She has two sisters

I was thinking of getting her a giant glow-in-the-dark rubber ducky and a few little ones but, I don’t think that would be a good gift for a 18th birthday (maybe a 16th). I don’t just want to give her cash or a gift card because I’d like to get her something thoughtful. Here’s why I thought about getting her the rubber duckies:
Her invitation had a duck on it, she swims, and her party is Hawaii/Beach themed.
Rubber duckies are too childish, right?
I don’t know what to get her. Oh, and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on the gift. (I’m low on cash right now) Should I get her clothes or other accessories? Like necklaces and such? If so, what kind should I look for? Any suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

you could make her a photo album of you both together sharing your best memories or you can also put snippets about her life in it

the rubber ducky idea is not good. what would she do with them???
get her a necklace or or earrings or something. go to a store that’s a boutique and had unique/unusual things.

a set of bathing soaps and lotions, with some candles, and a towel
a set of small embroidered towels, maybe with her initials on the corner
accessories, with sea shells and stars

I think a rayon sarong will be great if the theme is Hawaii/Beach. First, it’s inexpensive. Second, it’s easy to get. The prints are endless. She can wear it as a dress, as a shawl, as a wall art, use it as a towel when she goes swimming. You can get tons of offers on eBay or even just google it. Don’t know if Walmart offer this on their site but you can get it easily with a small budget. Of course I assume that you guys do live in Hawaii.
