my fiancee is graduating from basic training from the fort jackson south carolina boot-camp and i have not a clue what to wear on family day and the graduation day.
what’s appropriate to wear?

nothing nude
What you would wear to church.
pants. pants are good.
I would say something comfortable and not too dressy.
When I graduated from Basic Training there, people were just happy to see friends and family. Just be there and be comfortable.
Put your church clothes on.
for family day wear something a little dressier than casual and on graduation day i would wear a sun dress or something dressy but not over the top. i wore black capris with a pink lacy halter top when my hubby graduated from his job training i didn’t know him when he graduated from basic. in my picture that was his airborne grad. my friend and i went overboard and went out and bought really cute dresses and stilletos. but to be truthful the guy doesn’t care what you wear.
Nice slacks and a shirt, a dress, or even jeans and a top if you are so inclined. The fact that you are there is what is important to the graduating soldier.

I suggest a nice dress in the casual but slightly business attire mode. He’s entering into a conservative, professional field of life and your appearing to be modest yet somewhat stylish will help his advancement in the years to come. Please, please don’t wear some sort of revealing youngish sexed up outfit.
You can wear pretty much anything decent, from casual to business casual (church clothes). The common practice I’ve seen is business casual, but I have seen jeans/t-shirt combos too.
