Tea Party GOP Michele Bachmann’s Thugs shoved around and pushed Reporter for asking Questions?
On Tuesday, when it was revealed and later admitted by the candidate that she, like many Americans, suffers from migraines, not only was it covered online, but there, at a rally in South Carolina were journalists with followup questions for the possible first female president of the United States.
One of those reporters seeking to talk with the Minnesota congresswoman was Brian Ross of ABC News
“Ross walked to Bachmann, repeatedly asking whether she had ever missed a House vote due to a migraine. She ignored him. Ross pursued her into a parking area behind the stage. When Ross went to the white SUV waiting to carry Bachmann away, two Bachmann men pounced on him, grabbing and pushing him multiple times with what looked to me like unusual force,” Crowley reported.
“In fact, I have never seen a reporter treated so roughly at a campaign event, especially not a presidential one,” Crowley wrote, adding, “Ross was finally able to break away and lob his question at Bachmann one more time, but she continued to ignore him.”
Later when Crowley asked his fellow journalist if he had ever been treated so roughly, Ross told him it happened a few times “mostly by Mafia people.”
The news spread quickly and soon the headlines began to appear. “Michele Bachmann Beats the Press” wrote New York magazine. “How not to respond to legitimate questions” wrote the Washington Monthly.
And what was the headline on the conservative National Review? “Bachmann Camp Defends Treatment of Reporter.”
Wait. What?
Indeed, apparently Bachmann’s strategy is to blame the messenger, after roughing him up.
ABC says they have video of the fracas. Jeffrey Schneider, a senior vice president for ABC news, told Greg Sargent of the Washington Post that Ross “was certainly shoved around and pushed.”
What you think about it?? Do you think a Reporter doing his job and asking questions and getting shoved and pushed around is ok???
You would think that she and her husband could just pray away her migraines.

I think if that were an accurate account of what happened there would be video of it already. like the video we ALL WATCHED of the Dimocrap Congressman assaulting 2 College reporters for asking tough questions. I don’t understand why you liberals insist on leveling unsubstantiated charges whith no evidence to support them. you should at least photoshop something, like you did with the Bush National Guard story
Here we go. Wondered when the BS was going to start. Since the Congresswoman
was shot in Az. Security is tight around these people. Specially around a Presidential
candidate. This reporter should have known when to back off. He put himself in a
bad spot. And frankly if it were my security detail and my Deputies were involved the
reporter would be sitting in the back of a green and white. On his way to booking.
Maybe Bachmann will be like Palin and only appear on FOX so she can answer scripted questions with scripted answers. Her staff people said that Bachmann’s migraines were so bad she had to be hospitalized on occasion. She could have answered Brian Ross honestly. All of that thug stuff is not necessary.

There is a reason that reporter got handled a bit rougly and no other Reporter did.
Reporters are obnoxious… This one was extra obnoxious probably.
Doesn’t mean Michelle Bachman has her guards beat up any and all reporters like you’ want people to think.

If it had been a Fox reporter, you can bet that there would be an apology forth-frickin’-with.
If this is how she’s going to treat reporters that are not Fox “News” cheerleaders, she’s not going to get a whole lot of positive airtime.
What would anybody expect if they jump up on stage and rush at a candidate, then repeatedly disregard requests to keep their distance?
Where’s the video? I’ll bet you dollars to donuts the reporter is not being honest about his own actions that caused the reaction.

I think that it is fine for a reporter to ask a question once or even twice, but when a reporter continues to hound someone that has made it clear they are not in the mood to talk or that they don’t want to talk for whatever reason, I think it becomes harassment on the part of the reporter. If you are going to harass someone, then you should expect for things to occasionally get rough, because not everyone is gonna put up with it.
This is a President’s run for office
Expect to be asked questions.
They shouldn’t have shoved him but just held him back.
