The Huffington blog/rag has said that Obama is the victim of American racism today in her post. Any thoughts.

Seems like the Obama camp is reintroducting race into the campaign. How can he have it both ways. Way one) typical white grandmother raised him in Kansa (although we know it was a privite school first in Indonesia nd later in Hawaii) way two) Barak the commnity organizer from the gheto who understands the poor and downtrodden.
Surprisingly the answers to the question so far have been rather civil. Only called racist three times by the Obama people for asking a factual question based on today’s news. And as you notice the McCain supporters have been rather muted. It is so clear that Obama and his crowd have set race relations such as they are in this country back forty or more years. We are in for some rough times just ahead. Hard to believe that Obama with his limited ability and experience and questionable loyalty has gotten this far and continues to play the race card rather well.

Huffy Post are kool aid addicts. When Obama loses, the entire staff will be in rehab.

  2. His Divine Shadow says:

Haha! He already said that the Republicans are going to make people afraid of him due to his race even though both Mike Huckabee and John McCain came out against the idea a long time ago. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton ran the most bigoted and racist campaign I have ever seen against him and for some reason, she gets a pass from Obama.

I don’t know how this is supposed to make sense, but I am not surprised that the Huffington Post has jumped on the Obama bandwagon.

I’ll get someone to play the violin for them.

  4. Prime Mover says:

Huffington is a media whore high on the Obama koolaid and it gives her lots of site hits.

  5. HOPE FLOATS says:

Huffington, lol, not a very reliable nor unbiased source of anything. She needs to stop being an apologist for Barry and start opening her eyes.

  6. Andrew F says:

Huffington post? Let’s just ask Heraldo.

  7. Reese's Piece says:

So if he lived in the trailer park, he’d be okay?

The only racism I see in this election is those that say that whites won’t vote for Obama only because he’s black and those that say that blacks are only voting for Obama because he’s black.

There may be some truth to both but it is not relevant, to be honest.

How is the Huffington Post the Obama camp? That is like saying the Rush Limbaugh speaks for the McCain campaign. You have no clue about any of the facts of Obama’s childhood. He wasn’t raised in Kansas he was raised in Hawaii by his grandparents that were from Kansas. He went to a public school in Indionesia and then attended a private school in Hawaii. Hardly an eliteist, he had to pay student loans for his college education. What is wrong with understanding people from different backgrounds based on experience? I don’t see your point other than baselessly slamming somebody for something that somebody else wrote about him.

Does anyone really take the Huffington Post serious? A while back Obama gave a speech, in it he made the statement to his supporters to watch the Republicans because they will use “race” in their campaign…to the best of my knowledge Obama is the only person that has even hinted at “race”, I think he wants to put the idea in peoples heads…and they say McCain is playing dirty?

  10. Audrey Sidney McFlipFlop says:

TRUE. Look at this video of people ADMITTING they’re not voting for him because he’s black:

  11. Scooter Libby says:

There is quite a racist movement going on – just read some of the more idiotic things being posted on YA.
It’s ugly, but it’s actually galvanizing a lot of moderate independents, so I can’t call him a victim.

Hell, he’s the next President of the United States ! He’s hardly a victim in my eyes!

    OBAMA 08!!!

  12. Jesus Hussein Christ says:

So, Linda, how far DID you get in high school?

  13. bluechristy12 says:

There are many answers from McCain supporters here on Y/A that are racist . I could go back through the answers and prove it if you wish. As a white voter for Obama I think that this a typical white racist question (although I have seen much worse) . Just my opinion.

  14. todbod says:

Obama has spent his life mastering the doorways that racism allows him. Wake up those of you being duped.

  15. holocene epoch says:

I don’t reallly care. Obama is the one that brought up race and after you read his book you will see he says that any politician can use the “race card” to further their ambitions for political office by using guilt .. apparently Obama believes Americans are too stupid to read hiw books and figure out he is just what he says he is.. a man who announces he hates the constitution of America, wants to disarm us..and stands behind islam which wants to destroy the USA.

  16. lacrosse2lax says:

his whole campaign is about playing the race card. it really angers me.

  17. Anon Y says:

So far today on Yahoo! Answers we have the following questions:

“Would Michelle Obama grow water melon in the White House garden If she becomes the 1st Lady?”

“Would our founding fathers have permitted a colored President?”

“If Obama is elected, will he steal stuff from the White House?”

So who, exactly, is injecting race into the campaign?

  18. The Man of Real says:

He hasnt been the victim of racism…..but he will after more people see Ludacris’ rap video that he made for him.

  19. R M says:

Aren’t these the same folks that took it upon themselves to expose Obama’s elitest “bitter” remarks? Yes, they are.
These op-ed media people make us all look like fools if we give them creedence. Don’t rely on the opinions of these guys, they get paid to do this, make up your own mind based on what you know to be fact not opinion.

  20. cloudwalker says:

It’s obvious to anyone who has their eyes open, it’s even running rampant on Y!A. People come up with the most racist names then cry because they get reported, and they have the gall to claim that it is the left that is out to get them. They can’t win with the truth so they resort to any lie, just like their god Rush.

  21. TiedtoaRainbow says:

The Huffington Post is far left liberal trash talk. Every time Obama cannot answer an issue, he or his supporters revert back to the cry of racism. Racism is Ludacris, an Obama supporter, writing a blatantly racist song calling Hillary a *itch and insulting McCain, supporting Obama because he’s Black. His rap song suggests that the only reason Black people are voting for Obama is because he’s Black. Obama promotes racism.

  22. Peter says:

Barry is a race card and media whore, Barry has used his race as a weapon all his short career. He is proof you can have it both ways. Barry was elected because he is half black that is to his advantage, if you are criticle of his inexperience or his policies you are called a racist, also an advatage, this keeps him from giving a response to his view, or any plan he has to put in action. When Barry loses this election it will be due to his inexperinece not because he is black.

  23. McCainocrat says:

This isn’t the first time Obama’s played the race card, and it probably won’t be the last. News this morning:

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A day after Democratic candidate Barack Obama warned that Republican rival John McCain would tell voters “he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills,” McCain’s campaign on Thursday accused Obama of playing racial politics.

Obama “played the race card, and he played it from the bottom of the deck,” McCain campaign manager Rick Davis said in a statement. He called Obama’s remarks “divisive, negative, shameful and wrong.”

Stumping in Missouri, Obama, the first black candidate with a shot at winning the White House, argued Wednesday that President Bush and McCain will resort to scare tactics to maintain the GOP’s hold on the White House because they have little else to offer voters.

“Nobody thinks that Bush and McCain have a real answer to the challenges we face. So what they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me,” Obama said. “You know, ‘he’s not patriotic enough, he’s got a funny name,’ you know, ‘he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”‘
