4 adults taking 10 kids ages 3-10 camping in interlochen, near traverse city. Looking for activities for all ages. Thanks!
We live in michigan, so I’m looking for local secrets, stuff people do who live there I guess. We’ve done the dunes, the bridge and the lodge. Festivals? Unique shops? Kids museums? Concerts? Plays? Less visited land marks? Thanks!

actually, this isn’t in Traverse City… But you might consider taking them to the Dune Climb in the National Sleeping Bear park area. There is a HUGE sand dune there and kids have a blast climbing up it and running back down… It’s about a half hour from Interlochen.
There is a picture of the Dune Climb a ways down on the page. Its named “the dune climb from the bottom.”
I would take a day trip up to the Mackinaw Bridge and walk the 5 mile length with the Governor!
there is also the the Great wolf lodge. It is an indoor waterpark. they have great weekend rates for a family of four. just checkout there website http://www.greatwolflogde.com
The lighthouse/beach at the end of Old Mission Peninsula is in my opinion one of the most beautiful places. You can walk out into Lake Michigan hundreds of yards before it gets deep. Remember your aquashoes though – it’s pretty rocky.
