Travel business accounting question?
ByI am a travel agent and took clients to Alaska. They pay me for my time for showing them around, like a tour guide. Can this be a deduction and do I need to pay taxes then in Alaska? I live in Cleveland.

u only need to pay the local taxes in alaska.
how u calculate your federal tax and deductions depend on whether u are self employed, or an employee. As self employed, u can deduct all expenses relating taking your clients to alaska including air fare, etc. As employee, the air fare expense can only be deducted by your employer.
