Oooooh how I want to do this so bad! We are a family of 5 but my husband and my oldest son are not into it. I’ve made the decision to travel anyway. Our 2 middle aged children want to go with me. I’m trying to decide on the rig right now. Living in California, I can tell you that everything is seriously over-priced!! You 2 have been around the block… any ideas where I should be looking to buy?

@LiveWorkDream Yes, it takes a lot of juggling to stay on the road, especially when you get hit with big expenses (for us it was two major transmission problems). When we get back on the road (saving for another rig) we’re going to use our 4g phones to tether our laptops. Not the best solution but I can get 1.5Mps in most 3g areas so that will hopefully keep us connected. (can’t wait for better 4g coverage!)

Cutting back is good even if your not on the road! My wife and I are really doing that and we are budgeting more making ever dime count!

Your suggestions about living/working on the road are spot-on! Except we personally do need the big ol’ satellite dish to keep our websites running. That’s an added expense that sucks but it does help pay our bills so we can deal with it.
