Do you know what ‘ownership’ is? Almost all towns are incorporated. And as legal entities have the power to own property. Same for states. So, you’ll find state-roads and town-roads. Say goodbye to ‘public commonways’. Officers of the state and towns have full power to control access to property owned by their jurisdictions. Make sure you keep that auto registration current. I don’t like it any better than you do. But I’m glad I didn’t have to rely on private business for road plowing.

I’m pretty sure that they would have named modern Law Enforcement for what they are: a Military Occupation Force.

    Don’t knock “cheese maple syrup”.

Seriously, now that you’re in that part of the world, make sure to try cheddar cheese on apple pie. Mmmmmmmm!

Crazy ice storm! Sucks about the detour.

  5. calciumblue says:

I don’t think it is ownership. I think they just don’t want to get sued for not “serving and protecting”.

  6. Organjic says:

Police officers are not Peace Officers? /sarcasm.

You might not like the weather now but you’ll appreciate less bugs later.

    Almost there!

I have had no positive contact with Police since I was in High School, almost 30 years ago. Roy Smith was the local Peace Officer. He was a lot like Andy Taylor.

I’ve worked concert security with hundreds of Law Enforcement over the years. It is sad to say, I have no respect for any of them.

Hopefully, some I’ll be meeting in NH will be like Roy Smith.

    Cheese flavored syrup…
Hmm, has anyone ever questioned the constitutionality of cops? Did/Would our founding fathers approve of such an idea?

Unfortunately I work weekends otherwise we would be there!
