What are the best accommodations for a weekend trip to Saugatuck Michigan?
…including camping? I posted a question on vacation spots in Michigan and Saugatuck was mentioned in one of the anwers. Any points of interests that make a long drive worth visiting this town?
We are considering summer or fall if we decide to go.

Hey, Saugatuck is a great town. It’s full of art galleries, restaurants and shops. The shoreline of Lake Michigan is known for it’s Bed and Breakfasts, so you might think about that. I’m from a town called St. Joseph, about 45 minutes south of there. I’ve never stayed in Saugatuck since it’s so close to my home, but I go there often for the shopping. The city’s website is saugatuck.com, they have listings of accommodations there. There are lots of places to visit while you’re along the shoreline though, and of course in the summer, the beaches are wonderful!
