my grandson has lived with me since august. he turned 18 10-29. he was in state of michigan boot camp from 1jan until july. he lived with his mom until august. then he has been with me attending high school


I assume you are asking if he can be claimed as a dependant, so that you can get a deduction.
Make sure that no one else is claiming him as a dependant. If you and his mom both claim him, you might get audited.

Hey Tom!!! As far as I know, as long as your Grandson is living with you, going to school, is not being claimed by anyone else & has not made an income of over $600, YOU can file him as your dependent!!! Plus, you might check to see if his mother is claiming him… Like someone else said, he cannot be claimed twice!
