What do people wear in Hawaii?

I just found out I’m going to Hawaii for 2 weeks for a summer camp, and I want to look good when I go. Really I just need some cute outfit ideas for when I go, and I don’t want to stick out because what people wear where I live (Minnesota) is probably really different from in Honolulu so if anyone can help me out, post links or whatever, that would be great

It’s not another planet… just wear cute shorts with some tops, pick some nice colors or prints. Or find some cute sundresses with sandals/wedges. Like I said it’s not another planet or something, it’s just Hawaii. You don’t want to look like a stupid tourist so don’t go buy a tropical flower button up shirt, haha. They dress like everyone else over there.
coconut shells, straw, and flowers!~
Just wear whatever you would wear in Minnesota during the summer.
They wear as little as possible ( but don’t get arrested). Don’t take anything heavy like wool, but you might take a light jacket or sweater in case it’s cool at night. Bathing suit, underwear, shorts, T shirts, sandals & pair of sneakers in case you do walking & sight seeing. Jeans, sunglasses, beach towel (unless you want to buy one there to take up suitcase room), lightweight dress clothes & jewelry in case you go out for dinner or to see shows, Nothing that has to be ironed like cotton & nothing that needs to be dry cleaned. No cosmetics & things that are on the airplane list of the flying restrictions like aerosols, scissors & sharp objects. (Check with the flying restrictions though so you’ll go through the metal detectors without a problem, especially shoes that you can take off easily like loafers.) Remember that you will probably bring home from Hawaii more than you leave home with. You can probably buy a beach bag tote there to carry home extra goodies you buy in the airplane cabin overhead. Have a good time for you can probably buy anything there you may forget to take, of course at a huge inflated price for they see the vacationing guys coming. Don’t forget your Visa cards or even safer get Traveler’s Checks. Most important, have fun & don’t forget the camera.
Try to avoid all those sun dresses and Hawaiian dresses. I have lived in Hawaii for 14 years and no one wears it on a daily basis, it’s just too much. Just pack regular t shirts and shorts. You can also pack tank tops and shorts. avoid skinny jeans and what not. Bring a heavy jacket because the weather can be nasty sometimes even during the summer, but you never know. Sunscreen is a must, sunglasses, etc. It’s summer! Wear what you would during the summer
