What is band camp like?

Is it fun?is it hard? I’ve made all west Tennessee Band or wtsboa and decided to continue my career in music this will be my first year in high school and never been to band camp what are some tips and what is it like? Thank you very much

well band camp at my high school (Pulaski High school, pulaski wi) was 5 days of learning our routines for the marching season. It was pretty difficult being outside all day and having to memorize stuff, but it’s worth it
Save you money on camp and spend the summer going to concerts and practicing for 10 hours a day with a trainer.
It’s hot and it’s not fun. One year of it was more than enough for me.
Drink lots of water.
Well, I was in band camp for 4 years. Yes, it is hot and a lot of work, but it well worth all memories and friends i made. I miss marching and would do anything to march another show. It is not the same as when Mr. Dean was the director. Yes, he was more intense and he barked orders. But he wanted us to be the best we could be. I really wish he was part of the band program at the high school still but they said they did not want him. Sorry to say, but I went to their program last year, they need Mr. Dean. Anyways, make sure you wear plenty of sunblock and bring plenty of water and wear really good shoes. I made the mistake of wearing shoes with no support my first day of band camp it SUCKED!!! lol Anyways good luck and I hope you have a wonderful time GO KNIGHTS!
