There are some great campgrounds around natural springs Ginny springs http://www.ginniespringsoutdoors.com/ They are a private campground and I love this place Rainbow Springs http://www.floridastateparks.org/rainbowsprings/default.cfm This is a state park and is also very pretty, also check out this site for other parks in florida There are also campgrounds that are on the beach Fort Desoto http://www.pinellascounty.org/park/05_ft_desoto.htm Very nice and lots of beach as well as dog friendly Or you can do lakes rivers and woods Little Manatee River http://www.canoeingfun.com/ Withlacoochee http://www.stateparks.com/withlacoochee.html
I’ve been to all these places My suggestions: Ginny if you want a good place to scuba & snorkel Rainbow if you want to tube and relax Fort Desoto for the beach Little Manatee for the kayaking
