what is the historical significance of Japanese Internment camps?
i have a project for my california history class on the japanese internment during world war two and it is focused on the california camp Manzanar and more particularly the orphanage. we have to discuss in a paper the historical significance of this and its effects. if you could help me out i would appreciate it!!

Children without parents– what kind of war threat were they? They were already institutionalized. They already suffered from being homeless. For all the reasons that they used at the time to throw the people of Japanese ancestry into the camps, how does that apply to children with no parents?
It makes no sense.
