what is the lowest pitch I can have on a roof to still have proper water run off?

I am rebuilding a camper trailer and want to make my own roof

Any slight amount of pitch will make the water run off. You just don’t want any depressions where water will sit still.

1/4″/foot is the standard on say a pation for run off

If you don’t have a significant pitch you will need to use roll roofing or a once piece membrane (maybe something by Grace) or metal. You don’t want the water coming back up under the shingles. This would be even more likely in the winter when ice dams will form for the water to back up against.

I’m not sure just what you have in mind, But if it is a pull behind trailer/camper I would cut my tress’s where they bow upwards in the middle, as long as the center line is higher then the edges water should run off. just make sure the edges are sealed well. Also, textured aluminum will have less drag on your vehicle when you are pulling it. kind of like the dimples in a golf ball does. Less drag, more miles per gallon on the gas tank.

You can build a dead flat roof if you use a rubber membrane roofing.

    It’s good for 30 years

    I’m a builder 31 years I have used this 100s of times.

I have even used it to make my fish pond liner. My fish pond is 5 years old at this time.
    Yes it’s that good.
