Me and my friend want to go to a summer camp, but are having trouble finding one. Here are the deets:
~ we want a traditional summer camp (horseback riding, sports, fine arts, water activities, ect.)
~ Only a week long (because my little sister will be going and she cant be away from home that long)
~ Coed (my friends bro is coming)
~ It has to be no further than 2 hours from the twin cities!!
I found this one:

Luther Park Bible Camp. It super fun, even thou is a bible camp you only do like a 2 hours a day of churchy stuff but the make it fun. you cant do horseback riding but everything else you can do. its in Danbury Wisconson. which is about 2 hours and 15 minutes out of the twin cities. i love this place and make so many new friends and this will be my 3 year going and my first time doing double week!

    Hi Katie!

Camp Birch Hill is actually located in New Hampshire not Minnesota. If you’re willing to travel to New England that opens up a lot more options but I’ll assume you want to stay around the mid-west.

Moreover, its difficult to pack a traditional camp experience into a 7 day stay. Between unpacking, going on a camp trip and packing up again to head home you wind up having only 4 or so days of actual camp! I personally recommend staying for at least 2 wks.

Camp Walden is a fantastic camp located in Michigan and they have a great horseback riding, sports, arts and waterfront program. You can learn a bit more about them below:

The other camp I’d recommend is also located in Michigan and is actually a brother sister camp: Lake of the Woods Camp for Girls and Greenwoods Camp for Boys. They run two shorter camps called the Glen and the Grove that I think would be a good option for you.

You can check them out below:

    Hope that helps.
