Where are good places to camp and canoe in California?

I’m looking to go camping soon but am having trouble finding a good campground with somewhere to canoe at. I am not very experienced, so an easy place to canoe would be awesome! I’m more interested in campgrounds in the forest surrounded by trees, without rv’s, with an intimate setting. I’m willing to travel anywhere in California.

As per you said, Berkeley Day Camp will be a place which satisfy you.
Each week campers enjoy two exciting and exhaustive days in Tilden Park where we enjoy hiking trails, group cookouts and sing our morning songs underneath the Eucalyptus trees.
Campers also spend two days each week at the Berkeley Marina where we go canoeing, explore the sandy shore, fly kites and hone up on our construction skills at the Adventure Playground!
There, you will be sure to have an unusual travel experience.
Point Mugu State Park
Located in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in Southern California, Point Mugu State Park, also known to locals as Sycamore Canyon features more than 70 miles of hiking trails, and five miles of pristine ocean shoreline surrounded by the rocky bluffs and jagged pinnacles of the Boney Mountains State Wilderness Area. The natural environment creates a variety of adventures for swimmers, surfers, anglers, cyclist, hikers, and photographers, within the park.
