yea man only suckers pay for campsites. anywhere north of portland is free game. When camping on private land conceal youre vehicle from a common path. Nothing is scaryer then knowing people are looking at you through youre tent. bring a knife. goodluck! USE GOOGLE EARTH
gee,, Freddy C REALLY narrowed it down–”anywhere north of portland” huh?? that only leaves about 80% of the state..its surprisingly harder to find that than you think
Google Earth coastline of the state. Locate kayak or row boat rentals.
Plan outward journey of about six or eight nautical miles to camp at a
deserted islet or base of cliff-flanked cove if above flotsam of high tide.
You’ll need to research local tidal water conditions and other hazards.
Writer boats every summer to camp on vacant islands. Yes, far away.
Feel free to moon passing morons.
