Where should I look at moving to from Colorado that’s like Colorado?

I currently live in Denver. I like everything about here, but I may need to start looking else where for work. The things I love about it are that the people are nice, there are not many bugs, the weather is great all year round, and if I want to go into the snow I can do that 9 months a year too. I like things like camping, fishing, snowboarding. I have lived in Iowa and I think that is too humid, and I have been down south and think that is too hot. Plus humidity begs for bugs, which I don’t care for. Also, believe it or not, but Denver does not get stupid cold for more than a day or two at a time during the winter. The cold can stay a little ways away.
So, if I start looking for work elsewhere, where else might be comparable to colorado?

  1. Punk Rock and Minerals says:

how about Utah, northern New Mexico or way up in the cascades in the PNW

  2. Wondo says:

    Carson City/Reno
Salt Lake City/Provo (although heavily Morman)
    Flagstaff

all similar to denver for climate, mountains, and trees and have 1 or more ski resorts
i also believe they all are as safe or safer than denver and all have lower house/apartment prices
