which camping areas are best near Cambridge Massachusetts for tents in July?

We are going camping while we visit several area colleges, Yale@New Haven, MIT/Harvard @ Cambridge, NYU & Columbia@NYC, Johns-Hopkins, George Washington and Georgetown….our family needs to know which areas allow tents near those areas….but the internet is kinda diff to find places there….can anyone suggest some nice places? We will take 3 weeks in the area.
Boston Harbor Islands offers the best tent camping in the boston area but its not really convent for collage trip
A large number of Massachusetts state parks are in the area.
