Why did Obama let the Mexican President insult the US on our soil? Does Mexico accept illegals?
Mexico has a strict immigration policy. They want to export criminals, low level workers and reap the monetary rewards of US money being sent back to Mexico from illegal workers. Illegal workers in the US often live in camps or many people in one small building or apartment. They send much of the money back to Mexico that they earn. 1/3 of our prisons in Ca are illegals and the New York Times reported that they cost California 10 billion per year. Mexico jails illegals and sends them back. Is Mexico prejudiced toward South Americans? Mexico is a mess and it is obvious that Obama just wants to continue the Bush policy of merging the US and Mexico together in one coop government along with Canada. Obama is destroying this nation.

However, my first step would be to have an official language. That language would be English. If local governments want to foot the bill for producing products in other languages, then let them. I believe having an official language is the first and primary step needed in immigration reform.
Next, if you understand keep your friends close mantra then you would understand that having people working in the below the radar jobs promotes people being here illegally, and desperate people will do desperate things. If we want the gardeners, maids and nannies to be part of the labor market, then it should not take 3-5 years to be allowed in for a job.
The sillies thing is that we are fighting among ourselves and not getting the issue resolved.
