Wood chips from trees glowing in the dark; has anyone ever experienced this?

When I was camping in Pennsylvania, we chopped up dead trees for firewood. The little wood chips were glowing in the dark, sort of a green-yellowish tint. Has anyone ever seen this? Any idea what would cause this?

I’ve seen it in old wood also. I belive it is a kind of fungus.
Bioluminescent fungi!
