1975 Dodge Jamboree Motorhome acts like it’s not getting fuel and starts back firing when given gas?

I bought this motorhome and drove it for awhile then it starts this. It’s runs great when it’s cold but when it get to what is called operating temp it act’s like it’s about to jump time or something else like it’s not getting fuel, or I have a bent distubtor shaft. and I really do need a manual on this thing if anyone could help with that.and I could use someone who knows something about these Motorhomes to help me with it as I don’t know that much about them.

bent distubtor shaft i dout change the coil and see if that solves the problem. Also try running with the gas cap off. Have had the vent go bad in the cap and it quites running .
Bent distributor shaft I really don,t think so…I,ve never heard of a shaft being bent…Maybe wore out but not bent…More like a loose timing chain will cause this…
The problem is in the carburetor. Either the accelerator pump is bad or the high speed jets are clogged, or both. When the mixture is excessively lean in a carbureted engine, it will back fire.
the engines they used in those isn’t no different than a truck engine was, there was nothing special about those that regular repair manual on what ever engine it has in it that a repair manual wont help you on,you can pull the distributor shaft out of it but i doubt that’s going to be the problem with it,remove the distributor cap and watch the rotor button as you turn the engine over this will tell you if the shaft is damaged in it,you need to check the timing chain and gears in it,those was bad to wear out or go bad over time and that will cause the problems your having with it,i have worked on those before ,good luck.
