My dads a low life scum bag living in a pop up camper. I have had no contact with him for the past 9 years. And I also have a small record I dont want seen.
Can I change my last name to my moms? And if I can how?
I’m 19. I have my dads last name. After my mom got a divorce she switched her name back to her old last name (her dads). I want her last name.
Well after my mom changed her last name her record was not shown on her new last name.
Social sacerity number jobs cant see that right? Cause you look up the name on back ground check and it goes by name not last name. Or can the ysome how use your social sacerity number? Isnt that just the judge?

depends on your first name.
ya, go to the courthouse…the same way that people change their names after they get married…
burn your birth certificate and start calling yourself by your prefered name eventualy it’ll stick
You can change anything.. name, last name, etc.
You can call yourself countries, animals, etc.. so goes for last names.
Yea you can because i have the chance to also if your under 18 then you have to have consent of both parents but if your older than 18 than you just have to pay a fee
yes. you can change your name to anything. but im sorry i cant remember the name of the place you go to. but yes you can change your name. if i find ou the place and no1 else has posted an answer i will edit this answer and add it.
Yes. You need to file papers with your local probate court. Then typically a judge will look at it and they grant most of them. Hope this helps

yea just take it to court
Absolutely. Assuming you live in the United States and are 18 or over, you can legally change your name by going to your local state courthouse and requesting a change of name. Just tell the nice people at the front desk what you want to do and they’ll point you in the right direction. If you’re under 18, your mom will need to go with you.
No, it does not depend on your first name. Yes, you can. If your mom has remarried, your stepfather can adopt you. If your mother now has her maiden name, then you have to go to http://www.legalzoom.com/ and maybe it will help!
I hope this helped!
I’m using my moms last name
go to the courthouse and change but it cost money, i had the same done
yes you can change your last name, however you will have to go to court to do so and it won’t change the fact that you have a record. It doesn’t matter what name you have your record is attached to your social security number and that doesn’t change no matter what names you use.
So….you really don’t want to change your name because of your dad; you want to change your name to hide from YOUR past mistakes. Regardless of your name, your Social Security number will remain the same….unless you apply for a new #, which I do NOT recommend. Don’t you think law enforcement can track you down if they want to? They know how to find all the alias names you use. What is it you’re trying to hide?? Do you have outstanding warrants? If so GROW UP and face the consequences of your actions. No matter what you end up calling yourself, the REAL issue is to become a person with self respect and pride!
