Can I flat tow a 2000 BMW 540i (stick shift) behind my motorhome?

I have had my motorhome for about a year now and have been shopping around for vehicles that can be towed with all 4 wheels down and that matches my motorhomes color.

I remember, however, that I have a 2000 BMW 540i sitting in my warehouse that I don’t drive anymore, but I do know that a lot of manual cars can be flat towed, and it matches the majority of my motorhome perfectly.

Can this car be towed? It’s a sport model with a V8, one step below the M series, if that matters.

Probably can, but first, get your RV weighed to see how close you are to the maximum GVW. Most motorhomes are right on the hairy edge, so towing a car, especially one that’s heavy, will put a strain on the RV brakes.

There are braking systems that you can add that will actuate the towed vehicles brakes and make it a lot safer. Good Luck.
