If u want a A/C unit in a camper, the units usually mounts on top of camper. If u mount a unit that is a window unit…U have to cut a square hole to accomadate the space require to stick the vents OUTSIDE. Use brackets to brace the unit so if u hit a bump…it will not be sitting on the street. U cannot circulate the warm heat from A/C inside and ur defeating the purpose. There are a more expensive unit that is a roll-alone and just mount the vents on the window. I hope that answer ur question. ($500.)
If youve got an actual portable ac unit, then yes it might be possible.
I’d have two concerns… first… the ‘vent’ thru the camper side should be the same size diameter as the vent coming out of the portable ac unit…. if its not, then youre causing a ‘bottle neck’ which will create some back pressure on the portable unit, and it will not work as it should.
Secondly, I’d be concerned about the material the ‘vent’ is made out of…. PVC might work, but the exhaust, if the unit runs very much, could be too hot, and cause the pvc to soften. A metal, double walled vent might be a better choice.
You could try the pvc, just keep an eye on it, and replace it if necessary.
Yes, why not?
