I want to sell food out of my Little RV in Texas, what do I need? Ideas?

What permits do I need, etc? I have a little RV (c class?) and I want to use it to sell food on lunch breaks or whatever. Any ideas on good food to sell or tools to make it easy? I have a generator so no problem there. Single full time father here so please, tell me as much as you can and maybe how some things work? (selling on wal mart property, etc)

  1. slammamama says:

first, check with your county health department about preparation requirements, permits, licenses, and the city about vendor licenses.

All this is a pain and can get expensive, and there is a chance you will be denied being that you will presumably be preparing food in the RV kitchen. they are squeamish about such things bc the liability is enormous.

If you can get your legal ducks in a row, try work sites, government building parking lots (or adjacent), courthouses.
