I work at dealership used cars/RV..my paycheck did not take out for taxes?

By

Is dealership going to be trouble for not taking taxes out of my paycheck that they pay me? I never see one penny out of my paycheck for taxes, SS, etc. Is there anything I should know about dealerships it is different than other jobs who must take taxes out of paycheck? I live in Florida. Fla had no state tax but I know federal tax do in Florida.

if they are not withholding any taxes from your pay at all they are paying you as an independent contractor and you are responsible for your own self employment tax, approx. 15.3% of your sch C ‘net’ and you will file that form along with sch SE with your 1040

did you provide your employer with a W4 withholding allowance form when you accepted the job? If not it could be the employer has you as contractor labor or self-employed and will issue you a Form 1099 Non-employee compensation and you will be liable to pay the self employed tax.
Talk to your employer now to find out why taxes are not being withheld.
good luck

Were you hired as an employee or as a contractor who doesn’t have to follow orders about when and where to show up.
