I know they will let you (or atleast used to let you) have an RV there overnight, but what about tents?

Is that not considered loitering?
I guess if you buy your tents at wal-mart it’s a different story though…
I know they let people camp in lines for huge releases, such as the wii.
Why would you want to camp there tho?
If you’re in A motorhome, im pretty shure it’s okay. So yeah!
That all depends on which state your in. For most of the states, you must ask either the store manager or the store owner before you set up camp. They do have exceptions (like the Wii and knockout sales) but I would double check with the night/day manager of the particular Wal-Mart your going to camp in front of.
wat would u do that for??
You’d have to ask for and receive permission from the manager. And it would be a good idea to get the permission in writing.
At a guess, I figure they’d say no. I can understand their reasoning. If something happened to you – getting run over, mugged, etc – they could be sued.
Doc
I’ve seen campers but never tents. I would ask.
About tent camping at Walmart, I don’t know, but some WalMarts do allow RVer’s to stay overnight, but I would call or go inside the store and get clearance from the manager and/or store security before attempting to park in their parking lot all night. Even then, you may still be asked to leave. A friend of ours had permission from the store, but the town’s policies did not allow for ‘camping’ in any public place over night and our friend was rudely awakened by the police knocking on his door at 1 AM who told him he had to leave. So, he had to get dressed and hit the road again until he found a truck stop where he tried to get a few more hours sleep before he had to start driving the next day.
are you planning on holding on to the tent with your hands while your sleeping? concrete is a bit too much to break through with a tent stake and would be vandalizing anyways….and if you have the wind that most of the states had over the weekend…youll wind up 3 states away from your previous location…of course it isnt allowed
