OME shocks and struts need replacement on Toyota Tacoma?

I sometimes carry a 1000 pound cap-over, pop up camper on my 96 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and my stock shocks and struts are wasted in need of replacement. What kind can I get, consdiering teh load and also my distain of washboard desert roads? I really don;t want my eye teeth falling out because some brand of shock is in voque. Yet, I need something heavier duty — at least in the rear, due to the load I sometimes carry. The vehcile has strust in teh front; shocks in the rear.
Please, as many folk who can reply, I’d be grateful for the mutitude of opinions.

Monroe heavy duty shocks.
KYB. They build a couple of options for this vehicle. I would recommend you go with the MonoMax if it is still available for this vehicle. They may also have an adjustable model available (I can not remember model name) these are great for occasional heavy uses.
These worked great for a lot of my customers in Colorado who wanted to go offread, but spent the most time on the road.
STAY AWAY FROM MONROE SENSATRAC, and be wary of Monroe Reflex. I warranteed every set of Sensatrac I ever installed, and had only a little better luck with the Reflex.
I love the Rancho XL9000 with in cab control I have on my Avalanche. Their is a wireless remote runs an air pump you can change the dampening. They also offer an air bag lift for coil rears. These are GREAT. It can ride like a Caddy, or corner as flat as a civic.
