“Release of Liability” form that can be used for my RV Repair business?
I have to install a hitch for my business and would like to have the customer sign a waiver or release stating that I am not liable for any damage that the hitch may cause due to the customer wanting it installed in a truck bed that the manufacture considers to be too short. The customer is aware that they are asking for something that may later cause damage but I do not want him to come back and sue me for installing it. What form should I use and where can I find one?
If you have a business, you have a lawyer. Call that person and have them draft one up for you. They are the best ones to advise you on the laws for your state. You can always refuse to install the hitch you know. Doctors don’t install a third arm just because the person “wants” one, why should you?
