Want to purchase used fifth wheel rv.. need hints on what to check out before purchasing.?
I am looking for something that sleeps 6 people. what type of body construction, airconditioning style and layout as regards to the kitchen and bathroom. What else should I look out for as far as brands etc??
Stay away from Fleetwood. Their motorhomes are great but their trailers are trash. Forest River, Thor/ Thor California, and Jayco are great models and have price ranges for many types of buyers.
My preference is for a welded aluminum frame (all sides) and foam core insulation.
Check out the Jazz by Thor California, the Colorado by Thor and the Cardinal by Forest River.
Dont spend the extra money on “dual pane windows”. its not a significant difference in temp to justify the extra cost. Maybe look into a bunk model- this way you dont have to wake up the kids to get them off the couch or dinette.
