What do you hate about Windows?

I have Windows XP. I haven’t shelled out the $200 Bill Gates fee to upgrade to XP yet. On systems where I have Linux everything is fine and dandy.
This is what really annoys me about Windows XP.
- The search box is painfully slow and it hogs up processor power. You need a dual-core processor just to fins a file.
- The desktop icons refresh once in a while for no reasom Again the processor is hogged until the refresh has completed.
- When processor is slow I try to call up the Task Manager so that I can kill the hogging task. By the time the task manager pops up the problem is gone.
What do you hate about your version of Windows or are you a happy camper with it?

Virus software is almost always making our machine pause.
all of what you said even though you can jump under the hood and tweak windows a litle it will never be as powerful as linux.
The fact that you basically have to beg to be able to use windows again after 3 hardware changes, I could list so much but this space is not big enough
What do I hate about Windows? Just about everything. Let’s see, my windows explorer settings aren’t saving. I get the blue screen of death for no apparent reason. I have to restart the computer once in a while because Windows Explorer screws up. After a search is complete, I can’t enter a new search unless I close the window and then restart the search. When I’m copying a long file, Windows Explorer suddenly freezes, and I have to turn off the computer, which means I lose everything that I was copying.
Hate is not the term, I guess the right term is “DON’T LIKE”. I don’t like Windows because of the reason, in case you experience the blue screen of death you are helplessly clueless what happened to it. But in the case of Linux you would surely know what happened and if you are a geek enaf you can restore your Linux OS. But in windows, even Gates may not be able to restore your WIndows OS.
What i don’t like in windows? Everytime new windows os is release, you have to throw your PC out on windows and need a new $1000 + pc just to run new windows os, I just hope Microsoft will be charitable enough to realized that not all people in this world is capable of catching up with the technology that Microsoft windows requires.
Simple…Bill Gates
Windows…..Yuck!!!!!!!
Make the internet DOS compatible and forget windows. Dos was the last stable OS that billy gates ever made.
