YES YES YES,,,,Transmissions are Great hard wotking machines But they have ONE really big Fault the hotter they get the shorter there life…Your trans mission is araedy cooled ,,But only to a point, adding an additional cooler and changing the Fuild and filter evry 12 to 15 months will increase the life of you transmission. And if you have ever had one go out on you when you were going up a Mountain pulling a trailer at 2 in the morning out in the middle of No Where,,,,,,,,you’d agree. Shouldn’t cost over 150.00. most cooler are in the range of 45 to 75 dollars…plus labor

It couldn’t hurt. Although popups are light it still adds a load to the car.

My aunty does this all the time. You do not need one because it isn’t about the transmission, it’s about the tires and how well they grip the road.If you are going up hill than go fast(if you go slow it will put a strain on you engine and tires)If down hill move at a constant fast speed(not crazy fast like 75mph+)Make sure your bumper is not weak

How far are you going to pull the pop-up camper?

If you are going on a long trip and the weather will be very warm and you plan on keeping the Buick for a long time, it would be a good investment to install a transmission cooler….

Pulling anything behind any vehicle will put a strain on it.

Picture yourself on the side of the highway with your 2005 Buick overheating and blowing a head gasket in which will cost thousands of dollars because you did not want to spend $100.00 ( or less ) for the added protection.

I would have a transmission cooler installed.

A 2005 Buick LeSabre already has a trans cooler installed. Manufacturers have been installing them into cars with automatic transmissions for a long time (since atleast the 1960′s). Just make sure that you don’t overload the camper, Properly inflate the tires to 35 psi and u should have no problems.
