Ok, so I’ve gotten myself into a bind of sorts. Upon being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, I took a job in Colorado Springs, Colorado and I am still here. Anyway, long story short, I got laid off here and started going to the community college here and am now at the satellite CU campus here in town. First of all, I would like like to say that I feel that, at least in terms of academics and professors, that the school is pretty good and I would give it an A for a letter grade. However, with that said and despite the fact that Colorado Springs is a beautiful/scenic town, I am not happy with the demographics of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Specifically, there is ZERO dating potential for a single man here in this town UNLESS you are an active duty Soldier or Airman (just like Camp Lejeune/Jax, NC was) because alot of women are looking for financial security in a serviceman’s paycheck. Moreover, most women who move here do so with their Army or Air Force husbands. I have met some other female student veterans in my classes, but, I kid you not, they are ALL already married. I have a 4.0 GPA so far this semester and I tend to excel academically, but I am socially isolated to the EXTREME and have grown tired of being this way due to being stuck here in this town. I applied to UT Austin last semester and was rejected due to them literally not having the space for out of state students because Texas has so many people. Moreover, I called OU in Oklahoma today and was told that the Yellow ribbon program which pays out of state tuition for veterans is FULL. I am about to the point where I just about ready to say F*** it and pay out of state tuition at either UT Knoxville, UNC-Asheville, or Western Carolina University since my family lives out there. Do you think that I would be making a mistake by moving back home and having to literally take out extra thousands of dollars in order to pay out of state tuition OR do you think that I should do just that for my mental well being? One of my goals upon leaving the Marine Corps was to be able to date and eventually start a family, but it isn’t going to happen for me so long as I stay in this “prison town”.
Sure there are women in Colorado Springs. the thing is that 90% of them are ALREADY married AND the women at my college only want to go out with guys that they went to high shcool with.

Hi everyone I am competing in the NAM pageant this summer and i need some help with my personal introduction. The introduction needs to include my name, hometown and ambition.This is what I have so far.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I am an adventurous 15 year old from Pennsylvania who loves swimming, hiking, and camping in the beautiful Appalachian mountains. Some of my other hobbies include cooking, practicing the piano, reading, and playing with my dog Max. When I’m not pursuing my various hobbies you can find me volunteering in my community, because it is my aspiration to someday join the peacecorp and make a positive change in the world. I, Alyssa ****, am a girl with dreams.

So, I think it’s pretty good so far, but what can I do to make my introduction stand out more? You know like a WOW factor?? Also do you think the ending line is too cheesy? If it is what should I say instead? Thank you guys so much I really appreciate it!

alright, so I recently moved to Lawton, Oklahoma. From El Paso , Texas. (military) El Paso was the best place ever.♥ it really did mean a lot to mean to be living there. I’m a 12 year old girl, and I want to fly back there for the summer. My parents are going to send me to camp for just a week. (no phone or internet..o;<) and they want to send me somewhere else after camp. I asked to go to El Paso, and they told me no ’cause i’m going to turn into a thug when come back. My friend already offered for me to stay with her. And I REALLY want to visit. What should I tell my parents in order for me to go?

we are working on a solar house project. we have bought 2 acres of land in southeast new york and we need to know how much sunlight we would need in order to power the solar house. the house is going to be about 1500sq.ft. i know its small but its just a starter house.

Okay, I write a lot, but I never seem to finish whatever I write. So, I need to find a plot that’ll keep me interested. I’ve posted three plots and I’d like you to tell me which one you like best, why and please give me some tips. Thanks:)

1. Ro is a seventeen year old girl whose dream is to become an artist; she’s also told she needs to get out more. She lives in a small town in Minnesota with her father and step-mother who tries way to hard to replace Ro’s real mother. Ro’s father hardly supports her in her dream, and the only person that actually does is Dax, her best friend. Now, you may think that they may fall in love later on, but Dax is gay; and has his eyes on the hottest senior in school; Ace. With that, Ro intends to help Dax get Ace one way or another; for Dax knows for a fact that Ace is also gay; and he has proof. One thing leads to another, and the next thing Ro knows, she’s in Ace’s bathroom getting evidence!

2. Jessi is like a tiger; strong and fierce. She can be very intimidating, but that’s what Ethan loves about her. Ethan has been gazing at Jessi ever since they had to be lab partners back in the seventh grade. Jessi may not know it, but she’s very pretty; and Ethan is happy to point that out to her. The only thing that’s stopping Ethan is Jessi’s love for Ethan’s best friend, Louis. Jessi and Louis have been dating for a few months now, and things are starting to get serious. How will Ethan tell Jessi he loves her without backstabbing his best friend?

3. Camp Willow is a camp for teens with issues. Vicky knows that, and she knows she doesn’t have problems. So why is she being sent to Camp Willow? The answer is impossible to answer for Vicky. Vicky has to leave behind her best friends, her crush, and her twin sister for a whole two months. Vicky is angry with her mom, and she’s even more angry that her sworn enemy will be there, as a councelor!

I feel very hesitant about sharing these, but I will because I need criticism.

ive asked this question TWICE and i am FREAKING out because nobody will answer and i seriouslly CANNOT find out the answer. the question is, on the fox news channel there was a commercial for ross, and the commercial had a girl in a pink polka dot-ish room and she had long dark brown hair and i think she is asian and i think ive seen her on disney channel before (i think on wizards of waverly place) and she looks kinda like kelsey chow and jasmine villages and she mightve been on hannah montana….imnot sure. PLEASE PLEASE ANSWER. SERIOUSLLY I AM FREAKING OUT ITS BUGGING ME SOOOO MUCH. and idk but she mighthave been on camp rock. not sure, but has anyone seen this commercial? please help :’(

I’m starting a dance camp next week, and I’m just wondering what I should bring with me, and what I should wear???
It’s a ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop mix. I’m supposed to come prepared, but I’m not really sure what to wear there, because I don’t know what type of dance we’re doing on the first day. Please help!!!!

My grade is going on a camping trip. Its a week, we hike everyday, no showers,makeup,no toilets,its us and the woods. Our class is getting split up. We are going to mountains in Georgia, we live in Florida. Anyways, no makeup…..Not good. U have pretty good skin u will be fine without skin makeup, It will be dull and stuff but my acne isn’t bad at all. But its my eyes i have brown almond shape eyes. I mean i have pretty eyes but im so used to wearing makeup i think i look weird and ugly without it. So what should i do?!
