Why did my heater & a/c blower stop blowing?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a Dodge B350, 1993 Van Camper RoadTrek. 5.9 1-Ton
Its funny because my heater & a/c blower stopped blowing at the same time. There was a tiny bit of heat coming out at my feet. The doors were not stuck at my feet. I do hear the dash switches working and clicking on and off. My battery went dead at the same time to. I don’t know if its related or not. When i jumped the car it started right up. I hope i don’t have a short.
Any suggestions to help me would be great.

How do you clean the blower on an old rv Suburban furnace?
Posted by: | CommentsI have an old Suburban furnace in my motorhome. I hear stuff rolling around on the blower, and im trying to figure out how to clean it out. Do I go from the outside, and use a vacuum, or do I have to totally disassemble it? I think its a Suburban NT30N.
Home AC package unit / blower motor question.(Grease/oil type smell)?
Posted by: | CommentsI just installed a NEW one( 230 volts,60 Hz 1/2 HP blower motor) I beleive a 3 speed.. The conectors from the main unit have a RED wire and BLACK wire both have connectors..The blower motor has 4 terminals..1 red 1 black 1 brown 1 orange I think..I pluged the RED wire fr: the AC unit into the RED terminal and the BLACK into the black terminal..( Is this right?)Also the motor has two brown wires for the Calpactor..Thats not the problem..When I turned on the power to the AC unit ,it worked fine and spun like a champ..When I went inside a weird oil/grease smell was coming fr; vents..Is this common? I think its fr: the blower motors greased insides and its NEW…Am i correct or should I worry that I connected the motor wires wrong..RED to red and BLACK to black..Was there some other color I should have connected or did I connect the right wires to the right terminals??..And will the oil/grease ordor go away? Is it a sign of a burn out ( the ordor)? All answers are welcomed about AC repair
Clicking Noise – I’m Thinking Maybe The Blower Fan?
Posted by: | CommentsYesterday morning was pretty cold so I went to start my truck up. Once it was warm enough, I turned on the heater. After about ten minutes I turned it off and shut the engine off. I then heard a clicking noise which lasted about ten seconds. It was clear enough that I know it wasn’t under the hood, but somewhere in the cab. It sounded like it came from above the passenger side floorboard, right where the blower is housed. I started my truck up again and turned the heat back on, shut it down, shut the engine off, but the problem didn’t repeat. This morning I had to run an errand so I went to start my truck, and the clicking noise occurred again. I placed my hand on the blower housing and felt a slight vibration, so I am thinking that was where it was coming from. On my way back home, I didn’t use the heater, and when I shut my truck off, there was no clicking. So I am thinking maybe the motor or clutch is at fault. Any ideas?
