Archive for cabin

I’m going to be purchasing five acres of land in upstate new york that has a lake front view. All there is so far is water lines.

So I need to find a place for my family and I to stay in. I really like the log cabin kit idea. I don’t wanna spend more then 50,000 grand on the kit. If you have any ideas or links please do tell. Keep in mind this is for camping,we don’t need anything luxurious it’s just my two kids and I.

So where I go to summer camp, the cabins we stay in are named after states. Well this year I am in Rhode Island. We have like spirit sticks and stuff like that to have fun and we all have a name.
Example: Last year I was in Carolina and we were the Carolina Carolers. So any things that have to do with Rhode Island would be helpful!

The two names we already have thought about.
Rhode Island Repeaters
Rhode Island Islanders – like jamaican people ha ha

If you could give me ideas on stuff we could do for the skit that goes along with our name, that would be helpful!

btw we are planning ahead. we still have two weeks before we go.

So i am going camping for 3 days and 2 nights. This place is a small little campground with some fun things to do. There is a swimming pool, and a lake to go pattle boating and such, also there is a beach which is just a lake with sand surrounding the outer bank part of it. There is 3 playgrounds and a bunch of hiking paths. If anybody has any ideas to do or like pool games (Marco Polo etc.) maybe some campfire stories, like scary ones !? (-: thanks

i am looking for a cabin at a state park in virginia or north carolina. i live in the hampton roads area so somewhere within say 5 hours or so of driving id rather go away from this area at least to lake gaston area. i have been to hungry mother state park before when i was younger and it was fun but would like to try something diff. i would like for it to be around water at least walking distance and it would really be nice to have a hot tub or something of that sort on the deck of the cabin or something like that. also would like to have a firepit around. i am looking to go in the first week of aug. it will be just me and my girlfriend so something that can be kind of romantic so to say and not really “camping” just something that we can enjoy in the wilderness. i have also heard pigeon forge was really nice but don’t know much about it so any ideas w as much info and or experiences would be great. thanks ahead of time

Can a person with modest means, still buy a moderate size piece of land near Anchorage, and build a house or a cabin, without being restricted by build time-frame restrictions and land use restrictions? And can you still live mostly off of the land and with a low paying job to supplement what the land cannot provide? Providing, of course that the rigors of life in alaska are well understood and planned for. Also can one legally live in a travel trailer on their own land while building a house, while not under any time restrictions? Here in most of the lower 48 states, its illegal to do this, or at best its legal only based on time restraints, i.e. you have to build a house within a year etc. But what if it takes me 5 years to build the house I want a little at a time?

Thanks.

Hi, Im looking too buy a boat and im thinking of a 21 ft cruiser. I have had 2 boats both 17ft. I would like to have it to drop in at rio vista, lake orville, folsom lake and drop in at discovery park in sacramento to anchor and striper fish. I have 3 fisherman in the famialy and 3 others that dont fish. they wont all be on the boat at the same time but Im looking for a boat that everyone can be comfortable while fishing. oh ya my beutiful wife will come along. I would like to pull some all nighters at rio vista and local lakes. Now for questions. How does everyone like there 21ft boats? are they way to big? unmanagible? Want to know how people like this size boats pros cons? Thx so much for your time.
