My boyfriend and I want to do some summer camping. I’d prefer a woodsy area, like Big Bear or something, as opposed to a desert-y place like Cachuma. We’re limited on funds and will probably just be sleeping in the back of his Jeep. We’d like a place with fire pits, maybe somewhere to swim, we don’t wanna use the woods as our toilet, and water. Thanks in advance!

My husband and I love to camp, but we are new to the northern California area, and don’t know any good places around the Sacramento/Grass Valley area. We are looking for something under $10 a night. We don’t mind roughing it, so even if its out in the middle of nowhere, but its a good place to camp near a lake or stream it would be awesome to know of. Thanks!

My mom and I are going camping in Bass River State Forest in the New Jersey Pine Barrens for the first time. It’s a public campground with showers, flush toilets, and a fire ring and we’ll be sleeping in a tent. We’re only staying for one night, but since i’ve never done this before I was wondering what to bring and if there are any other important tips to keep in mind.

what happened to good old camping?

Im looking for a campground somewhere in maine or new hampshire. I have only two stipulations. I want a tent site, and I want a waterfront site. Why is it that camping is now looked at as an rv and trailer destination and tent sites are few and far between? Nobody does real camping anymore? Jeez! (if anyone knows any good spots in maine/NH, let me know! thanks!!

Have a 4 and 5 year old who enjoy camping. I am wondering if there is a family oriented camping group in southern California.
