FBI agents executed search warrants Thursday morning at the headquarters of California solar firm Solyndra, which received a $535 million loan from the federal government before filing for bankruptcy last week, FoxNews.com confirms. Agents executed the search warrants at the company’s headquarters in Fremont as part of a joint operation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Energy and the Office of Inspector General, FBI spokesman Peter Lee said. Lee told FoxNews.com that “multiple search warrants” were executed but said he could not provide details on what prompted the investigation. Solyndra LLC is a solar-panel manufacturer once touted by President Obama as a beneficiary of his administration’s economic policies. It announced last week that it was laying off 1100 workers and filing for bankruptcy. The company was held up as the model for government investment in green technology. In addition to the $535 million loan guarantee, it received visits from the president and other state and federal officials. It filed bankruptcy amid hard times in the nation’s solar industry. The price for solar panels has tanked, in part because of heavy competition from Chinese companies, dropping by about 42 percent this year. In a blog posting, Energy Department spokesman Dan Leistikow said Solyndra was a once promising company that had increased sales revenue by 2000 percent in the past three years. The $535 million loan guarantee was sought by both the Bush and Obama …

How can I convince my parents NOT to travel with a tour company?
Posted by: | CommentsPersonally, I really hate the idea of being stuck in a crowded bus full of random people, who knows how obnoxious some of them might turn out to be? And what I can’t stand is the thought that I’d be held back by their itinerary, and that they’d choose the hotel, food, and locations all FOR you. Sorry if Im coming off as snobbish, it’s just that this is our family’s first vacation in over 5 years and I’d rather have more freedom. They’re just held back on prices, because the package deal looks seemingly cheap to them and they’re in utter denial of everything I have to say about the downsides of being stuck with a tour guide to a dream vacation spot like Hawaii.
Can you share your thoughts on this matter?
(plus, the tour company they’re thinking of got an average of 2 stars on EVERY review site I checked!)

What company manufactures the Chevy Getaway van RV?
Posted by: | CommentsTrying to get some historical information on the Chevrolet Getaway Class B camper van. Manufacturer name and any other company information.
Thanks in advance.
Update, okay got some details from their website. What I specifically want to know would be the Blue book values of said vehicles. Still cannot find that little tidbit of info from KBB or N.A.D.A.
Great answers so far; @Cadillac Man, you are very correct. CONVERSION vans are valued very similar to basic work vans as they usually just have a fold down bed, TV and extra cup holders. The Getaway van is a True Class B RV with cooking facility, port o’ potty, propane, heater & gray water holding tank as well as standing height rooftop room. Many class B camper vans (Roadtrek, Okanogan etc) are listed in KBB but for some reason this particular model has been exempted. Come on RV’ers I know there has to be a value guide for this model somewhere.
