My parents have had an ongoing divorce for about 2 and a half years now. My dad is a recovering alcoholic that is currently living in Texas. Since my father moved i have been living with my mom. For the last several years i have struggled in school and have tried literally every option there is for school near where i live. I am currently doing online schooling but that isn’t going well either. For about a year now i have had severe depression to the point of suicidal thoughts. Both of my parents are aware of this but recently i stopped going to my dr due to the fact that i have been feeling better. My mom seems to think me being suicidal and me having very severe depression is a joke. She thinks im doing this to start a fight. She also wants to send me off to boot camp and on multiple occasions has told me i need to go live with my father. Im starting to question my moms sanity. I fear living with my father in Texas due to the fact that im afraid that he might relapse and go back to drinking. There is no family of ours that live in Texas. My mom is constantly inviting my uncle (her brother) over to our house which bothers me greatly. He has beaten me before and im afraid he might lash out at me again. I dont feel safe no matter what i do. I have recently been offered by my girlfriend and a friend of mine to come life with them. If i understand correctly for a emancipation to take place both parents must agree but there are certain cercumstances on this? What would those be? Would my parents divorce affect that? PLEASE HELP!
