Where to road-trip from Dallas area?
Posted by: | CommentsI live in the Dallas area and I am trying to think of where to road trip with my fiance.
We both love the outdoors and we love hiking, camping, etc. We enjoy natural scenery and breathtaking views.
Where could we go that is within a 10-15 hour drive? The states within our reach are New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Wyoming, South Dakota, etc.
I have been to Yellowstone before, and Estes Park, CO, and Mount Rushmore, etc. Any other places that would be good?
What about the Garden of the Gods? Or even though it is a little further, the Grand Canyon? We would probably tent camp/cabin camp.
Thanks so much for your help!

Good day camps in Dallas, Texas for 11-15 year olds?
Posted by: | CommentsMy 12 year old niece is coming to live with me for a month, and i work. She said she would be into going to a day camp. She likes sports: Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, and Soccer. She likes cooking, and crafts. I could leave her at home, but for the rest of the time she is with me, i need something for her to do. She would enjoy anything appropriate for a 12 or 13 year old. I live in Dallas, Texas, but i need something that isn’t Downtown, more North. I live near Midway and Royal. Thank you everybody!

Should I live in Austin or Dallas?
Posted by: | CommentsI have a new opportunity to take a job in TX. I now live in Indianapolis, IN and can choose between Austin and Dallas. My wife and I are 36 and have 2 kids in Jr high and 1 in elementary. We live a fairly active lifestyle and enjoy outdoor activities. We spend a fair amount of time biking, hiking, boating, camping, etc. We tend to be pretty social as well, so we’ll definately be searching out local night-life activities. Having lived in Indiana my whole life, I would like to settle in a place that has some topographical diversity. We value education, so local school performance will likely drive our decision as well. Thanks!
Will Al Queda set up a training camp in Dallas, Texas?
Posted by: | CommentsSince 9-11-01, there have been no more attacks on the homeland. Is that about to change?
Take the case of Dallas, Texas, site of the grassy knoll, the school book depositary and the future hometown of a former president. The secret service has limited protection for George W. Bush to 10 years after leaving office. That’s a blink of the eye in Al Queda time, who have been know to wait years between attacks.
Will every Muslim who lives in Dallas be regarded with suspicion as a possible terrorist?
What do you think of this situation?
