Disney is highly inappropriate!?
Posted by: | CommentsIn the Shake It Up show, once when they were dancing I caught a few lyrics in the song they were dancing too, it said, “They try to cover me up but then i go and hit the floor!” and in suit life of zack and cody zack wears a shirt that says bikini inspector on it, and once zack offered to study with a girl in the girls restroom. And in snow white the dwarfs are examples of the 6 symptoms of cocaine addiction. And in Aladdin I heard some people in the background while Aladdin was up on the princess’s tower say either, “Good teenagers don’t wear clothes” or “Good kitty, don’t get too close!” highly inappropriate! and how the message in every Hannah Montana episode is, “It’s GOOD to betray your friends!” and “Do whatever you want, as long as your parents don’t find out!” And a while back I remember in the Proud Family Penny and her friends were all wearing sleeveless belly button shirts and stilettos and short skirts dancing around on TV. And there what, 11? And on suite life on deck these girls were bouncing in bikinis in a bouncy castle and zack said that, “there isn’t anything better than hot girls in bikinis bouncing in a bouncy castle” then one girl said, “Hey zack, catch me!” and tried to hop into his arms, he failed! haha! Anyways once in the proud family when penny went away for a summer camp she liked this counseler who was like 17 and she was like 13 in that ep, she wanted to be alone with him on kissing rock, and her dad hired a kid to find all the details out. He lied and said to her dad that penny and that guy were gonna take a shower together not even with a swim suit on! :O I can’t believe they said that! now do you see my point!?!?!?
Does Anyone Else Think That Disney Channel Is A Bad Influence For Kids?
Posted by: | CommentsI am 13 and I have been watching Disney Channel for a long time. As I got older I started to notice that Disney was sending bad messages to kids. If you go back to the early 2000′s, shows and movies actually had morals to them. They would teach children about spending time with family, being nice to others, etc. Nowadays, every show is about becoming a celebrity. Seriously every show, Shake It Up, Hannah Montana, Sonny With A Chance, A.N.T. Farm. Then movies like Lemonade Mouth, Camp Rock, Starstruck, etc. The old Disney shows like Lizzie McGuire and Even Stevens were about your average American families.
Also shows make disrespectful comments sound funny. For example character A may say something like “Ugh my dad is so stupid and embarrassing!” Character B will say “Yeah I know, my dad won’t take a shower. He smells like oatmeal.” *laugh track* This is teaching kids to be catty and disrespectful to their parents. I guess some people think that it’s funny but I don’t. They make people look like stereotypes on these shows to be funny. Like people who like comic books, kids of other cultures\religions, they will make smart kids look like geeks, etc. The message that they are sending is that you have to fit in or else others will frame you as nerds if you do your own thing.
Disney actors\actresses are usually bad influences. When Miley Cyrus first started out on Disney I loved her. I thought that she was a young, pretty, talented, actress. But now, I can’t stand her! She is a horrible influence for little girls. Also some shows are bad too. On Jonas LA which was canceled, there was 3 boys living with 2 girls. Isn’t that a little weird?
So do you think Disney is a bad influence? Do you let your children watch Disney?

Posted by: | CommentsSo i was watching some ancient disney cartoons n i thought about how much better they were back when Walt Disney was still around. I mean compared to the cartoons today their brilliant!
We’re studying WWII in history and i came across some old donald duck cartoons and other disney shows. Don’t you think Disney has been ruined, with all the tv shows and movies starring people (hannah montana, high school musical, camp rock etc.) and it’s not like i have anything against actors on disney shows. I grew up watching That’s so raven and Lizzie Mcguire, but the modern shows are just BULLS**T! Compared to lion king, in my opinion the greatest Disney film ever made.
The actors are worse theres Miley showing her boobs out dealing with drama, and i heard that girl from camp rock is in rehab. What happened?! Disney used to be a company everyone watched now their viewers are 6-10 yr olds or some retarded 16yr olds (no offence).
If Walt Disney was still around i think he would straighten this sh*t out!! am i right?
i just wanted your opinion.

Camping in disney?
Posted by: | CommentsIm wondering first of; how is fort wilderness? My family wants to possibly camp in florida in April, How hot will it be? is it worth it? or should I look at getting hotel instead? We looked at pricing April 18th-25th of 08 for 2 adults, 2 children(12,9)
Best price we got so far was $1359.20 with 5 day base ticket and gatorland tickets, price was from vacationsnbeyond.com that dont include air as where driving down
I did go to waltdisneyworld.com first but this price is better.
they have a really mean trainer or camp leader/cordinator and they lock him in a cage and turn the camp all nice again. there bus driver to the camp was named pat and he falls in love with a blond woman.
has anyone done this befor in winter? actually I have already booked a latest model motorhome and its already paid for and I cant cancel now. So I have to go along with the decision travelling from Amsterdam to Paris to Bern to Barcelona, Madrid, Portugal- Algarve and return. All in 18 days about 5000 kms. any suggestions please?? by the way this is my first RV ing and motorhoming trip… Dates are 21st Dec to 9th Jan anyone else also travelling in these dates?? suggestions are very important for us thanks..
Feminist view on disney?

I was lucky growing up watching these classics such as lion king, cinderella, aladdin, beauty and the beast, little mermaid… ranging to to Pocahontas, tarzan, toy story, mulan.. and when I read what those feminist wrote about them.. its just made me sad and angry because i really loved watching them.
What makes me very pissed is that most of the girls I know all loved watching them as child and those feminist claims are just a huge insult to them.
How do they affect?
It will poison thier minds (thinking in a negetive way) about those movies and they will feel bad and guilty about themselves (most of them) for ever loving watching these disney classics.
Who does this cause problem to?

Before this everyone was just fine and did not complain much about this issue.. then comes the modern feminist and ruined it for everyone.
So disney nowadays makes crap like honnah montana,camp rock,high school musical that wont offend feminist. Then disney decided to make a sequel to the classic toy story which everyone loved(besides feminist) and here we go again….

I grew up with my sister watching these movies and she loved it and still does. No harm done to either of us and she is a doctor now.

“bad guys” not “bad girls” usually only exist in these movies but there will also be a “good guy” and “good girl” and I dont think that should be an issue unless the show itself is entertaining and inspiring.
In every show there has to be a bad character.. you cant expect a show to be all flowers and rainbows. As for the religious view.. so assuming aladdin is an islamic culture(most probably) they also displayed the good side of islamic as well.. aladdin? jasmine? sultan? along with all the other good characters?
what i got from watching aladdin is that life is full of challenge, you cant always get what you want unless you fight for it.

anyways.. i agree with most of what you said. I mostly loved watching those early 90′s also.. the ones before that were sexist..snow white,beauty and the beast and all but in their defence, It was potrayed during the time where that was actually how woman standards were back then. So instead of viewing it in a negetaive way, why cant it be viewed as educational? why does it only has to be offensive?
