tent and supplies for camping, across america w/2 dogs?
Posted by: | CommentsI am looking to pack my small SUV up with myself,basic supplies and two dogs, 40lb mutt and 80lb german shepherd, from New York to California in August. I have not yet considered how long this will take. First off, any suggestions on tents, there’s so many to choose from and an abundance of add-ons, I would love some feedback from the public on their experience,
What is significant: space,the dogs will sleep in there with me, quick and easy set up and take down, lack of fiddly lines and tie downs, Im planning on taking the northern path cross country so suitability for all temperatures and environments, ventilation, two dogs and me generate a lot of heat.
What is not significant: weight, it will be in the car and I wont be carrying it far, price, I will want to keep this for a long time and use it again.
Any decent links to camping reviews, packing lists etc are appreciated, also, if anyone has done this before with dogs, tips and hints and recommendations for places dog friendly along the way would be wonderful, thanks in advance!

Sorry about my ignorance but is it ok to leave dogs in RV?
Posted by: | CommentsI am traveling with my beloved dogs since they suffer and refuse to eat when boarding , and my husband and I need to be for about 1 hour in an attorney’s office to sign papers to buy a home. I know for sure dogs are not allowed. Can they be left in the RV or is it like a car where they can get overheated? Sorry, but I never rented an RV nor have I had dogs in it, so I have no clue if this is acceptable or not.
Where is a good place to go beach camping in Northern California with dogs?

Campsites in WA where dogs are allowed on trails?
Posted by: | CommentsI have been searching for some campsites in Washington where my husband and I can take our dogs. Let me specify, we don’t want to just take our dogs but include them in the camping fun! Our last camping experience, the ranger said the park was dog friendly but they wouldn’t allow the dogs on hiking trails and we couldn’t leave them unattended either and threatened to fine us if we were caught. Instead they suggested taking our dogs on the road, which I felt was MUCH more dangerous. The ranger’s excuse for not allowing dogs on trails is that dogs are more harmful to nature than humans…Well I don’t know about you, but my dogs don’t drive 6 wheel motor homes into the wilderness. Anyone know of any campsites in WA that WILL allow dogs on trails?

Posted by: | Commentsi plan on going camping with my 2 dogs, tom and tyson, for a 4 day weekend i have coming up. where can i go in florida or extreme southern georgia( maybe) that we can take the dogs swimming with us? we are in the tampa area now, so anywheres within 6 hours drive is ideal.
What are some great camping dishes to make(as in food) aside of hot dogs and hamburgers?
