Colorado Car Camping with dogs, looking for a secluded area?
Posted by: | CommentsMy husband and I want to go car camping in Colorado. We want to bring our 3 well behaved dogs (a min pin,a boxer and a vizsla). Though they are well behaved, with only the 2 of us we want to go somewhere VERY secluded. We don’t want to camp next to well travailed trails, and don’t want to see anyone else camping. We want to drive to the spot, and feel lost in the woods! Walking distance to some water would be great! Any ideas??? Please HELP!!!

Humane Society helps Boulder’s homeless feed their dogs
Whenever he can help it, Ron Bauer prefers to feed his pets grain-free dog food. But sometimes he cannot afford to feed his two dogs at all. Bauer has been homeless since the 1980s.

camping in florida with my dogs? where can i go?
Posted by: | Commentshello, floridians. i have a 4 day weekend coming up in 5 weeks and would like to go camping someplace that features pet camping, preferably in a cabin such as a KOA camping cabin, but will go the tent route if need be. i have 2 dogs medium size and 2 kids also. i would like to be able to bring the dogs swimming with us, and fresh water swimming would be great. we live near the beach now in st.petersburg and rarely get to swim in fresh water.
if you know of campgrounds that allow pet camping AND pet swimming, please lemme know.

Rescued dogs need creative ideas that would make their lives so much better?
Posted by: | CommentsI know u may think my devotion to rescuing dogs may seem nuts and maybe i am.
Changes in my life gave me the opportunity to try to help in way I thought could really make a difference i noticed was a big problem after katrina.
I bought a motorhome and offer transport for many, anytime, anywhere.
My biggest problem is trying to figure out a way for them to be able to go out and be contained without having to walk them three times a day. which is difficult when I have TEN dogs of all sizes with all issues,(diabetes, blind, abused, abandoned)
since we never know where we r going next and not many places big enough or no one around to just let them out.
alot of people are very unfriendly to be next to so many dogs at rv lots.
i dont have them long enough to train them with electric collars.
i think somekind of fence may be my only option but has to be portable, but high enough for the big ones and strong enough not to fall when they jump up on it . they would never be unsupervised but wou be great tp put them out fresh air and give me a chance to clean without them inmy way.
we all get grumpy if i cant find a place, lose alot of time and gas.
I do all of this free of charge and I do not recieve funding from anyone. I take full responsibility for them
while they are in m care.
Im sorry for this being solong but I didnt want waste ur time without all the facts and this is very important and seriously need help.
Will a bird-feeder help stop the birds from eating my dog’s food?
Posted by: | CommentsI have trouble with birds eating my out-door dog’s food. They flock to my patio and feast… meanwhile pooing all over my patio and lawn furniture. Do you have any suggestions? Do you think putting a bird feeder away from my patio will help or just draw more birds to my lawn? Help!
Should I use my dogs feces as fire starting agent?
Posted by: | CommentsIt gets chilly up here in Montana, and I know that all animals poo exudes methane for a bit (hence the smell). I was wondering, since methane is flammable, if I could use it like tinder to start a fire? Like, if I was camping in the woods, the dog takes a dump, then I could scoop it up, put it on some pine needles, and rub two sticks together and maybe ignite the methane, and have a roaring blaze quickly?
What are the best quality cooling mats for dogs?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m looking for a cooling mat to take camping for two days in July. I’ve found some different styles already online, but I’d like some personal feedback. I’d prefer to stay within a $30 budget, but I’m willing to spend more if needed.

bringing my dogs camping over memorial day weekend?
Posted by: | Commentswe will be camping in a camper at a campsite that has demesdicated rabbits running around wild and we spend alot of the time outside and my dogs will be outside also. we are going to be in Indiana and will be going to Turkey Run State Park. Can my dogs catch any dieseases from the rabbits?? also my fiancee wants to bring them walking trails in Turkey Run, but we always walk to long one with all the water and the ladders. I think our dogs ( a cocker spaniel and a beagle/ rat terrior mix) would get to muddy and might get stuck and Ect… shouold we bring them to the park or not?
