my fiance just left for boot camp is there anyone who has already done this an can give advice on how to make it easier on him we have a baby girl that is 6 weeks old….is there anyone who can give me advice on how to cope with him being gone?

What must a bus have done to it so that it qualifies as an RV in the eyes of the California DMV?

I bought a school bus and I want to convert it into an RV. The DMV says they will inspect it to determine whether or not they think its an RV. Nobody at the DMV seemed to know what sort of things needed to be done to have it be considered an RV, all they said was “putting chairs and a table doesn’t count.” Any guidelines?

Did anyone happen to see a feature done by “The Travel Channel” on Florida vacations?

A few months ago, “The Travel Channel” featured “The 10 best but least known about Florida vacations”. They identified some of the less visited beaches in Florida that offered beachfront camping or rustic cottage rentals. They also recommended a day tour that was popular for close up encounters with dolphins. I think it was in the Fort Myers and Sanibel area, but I’m not completely sure. If anyone is familiar with these type of accomodations and sightseeing events, I am interesting in learning more.

Outdoor activities that can be done alone for free/cheep (Washington State)?

I’m an 18 year old female and have nothing to do. I really want to take up some outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, camping, fishing, etc. with my friends but they’re all very busy. They’re all going away to universities while I’m stuck at home at community college. The rest of my family is very lazy and has a negative attitude about me going off to do things on my own. Needless to say, I’m bored all the time, I pretty much sit around and do nothing and have gained more weight than I care to mention because of it. So I’ve decided rather than swirling into a depression of self pity and loathing, I’m going to get out and do stuff. I need ideas of stuff I can go and do by myself, preferably in the outdoors. I live in Washington state if that’s at all helpful.

My other problem is that I’m unable to find a job and I have a grand total of $20 in my wallet. So something that’s free or extremely cheep would be best.

Where to get custom metal repair work done on 1970′s camping trailer?

My in-laws let us borrow their 1970 camping trailer. This is an old pop-up style trailer that has a steal frame and canvas top. I accidently bent one of the steal support rods that slides in and out of one of the beds.

I have no idea who or where to get this fixed? Does anyone know what type of shop or place I can take this to? I think they will need to remove some of the metal supports, bend it back into place, then re-attach them to the camper.

I am stumped. Thanks!

I really want to trek from Panama to Belize after a stint in Costa Rica but my funding will be very tight. I will be traveling the Panama to Belize trip alone. I am getting a guide that professes you can do it on a shoestring and another that says it can be cheap. I am wondering if it can be done on my budget of roughly 28 dollars a day and if so how. Is there anyone who has an idea or has done it? How did you get from place to place bus or air? How much did you spend and how long and where did you travel? What did you take wish you had taken? Any advice on how far $2600 would take me? Any info you have will be helpful.
